The collectible figurine of Molly that the Oban Fanshop has promised us ages ago is finally coming along!
A recent announcement on the Oban Star-Racers official forum says that the figurine will be about eight inches tall and made of vinyl.
As of right now, it's in-progress, but you can check out pictures and updates on the figurine here: www.wartmag.com/?p=635 (Sorry, French only.)

According to the official Oban Star-Racers forum, OSR will be coming to DVD in America--- though not as soon as everyone was hoping for. "Early 2008" was the closest thing to an exact date we could find- but at least we know it's coming!

Hold onto your hats, OSR fans! Or should I say... hold onto your stylus? According to the OSR fan shop, there's an Oban Star-Racers game heading straight for the Nintendo DS! As of now, there's no release date, and it's currently only in production, but it's never to early to share news this exciting.
Also, to those fans UK based, break out your wallets come July 30th, because OSR Cycle 1 is busting into stores. US fans will have to sit tight a little longer.
In not-so-new-news, Oban Star-Racers has also won two awards. Animeland (an important, veteran Anime magazine in France) has granted OSR with the title of Best non-Japanese Animation of 2006. Although the show is equally Japanese as it is non-Japanese, it's still a pretty awesome title.
Polymanga 2007 (the biggest anime convention in switzerland) has bestowed OSR with the "Entertainment Grand Award for European creation with an influence from Japan".

I'm sure that most of you have noticed that the club has been slow in the news department, and hasn't been updating NEARLY as much as it used to.
This is due to a lack of OSR news, although, one new rumor circulating the internet is the possibility of an Oban Star-Racers manga in production.
Anyway, this club update is to inform our members that the club is INDEED still alive and well, we still adore OSR, and we're delighted to let you know that we've been working on an outside deviantART OSR fansite, which will include:
> The latest in OSR rumours and info
> Character Bios
> Episode guides/ summaries
> OSR Image gallery
> Fanworks (We'll host fanfiction, cosplay photos and link fanart to devART pages)
> Media Downloads
> A small forum for club member-only roleplaying
> many other features!
The website will be an easy way for our members to grow closer as a community, and will be a good OSR resource page for the average fan.
I expect that the website will be launched toward the end of the month, but I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that we'll have it running sooner.
